Our whole family comes here, including our toddler! We love having a dentist in Wilmington who looks at the whole body and can guide you with a more natural, holistic approach. The entire staff is also amazing and so kind! They even send you home with RiseWell bags with floss, a toothbrush, and toothpaste AND they have an AirDoctor in the waiting room. So if you’re into that kind of thing, this is your place lol. Highly recommend!

Dr. Cortez really saved the day for my daughter. She needed care after a different provider dropped the ball. Dr. Cortez and her team fit my daughter into their schedule and performed the care she needed. I’m forever grateful for Dr. Cortez and Kaitlyn at the front desk for helping my daughter through a difficult experience. So much respect and empathy was shown to my child.

The entire staff is excellent. They are friendly, helpful, and detailed about what is going on with you. They explained what was needed and what will happen with you. They made recommendations. The atmosphere is relaxing. The establishment is clean ! The waiting area, the different stations, the equipment, and the bathroom. This was my first visit and I will be returning. Thank you!

I had a great experience at Cape Fear Smiles. Everyone with whom I interacted was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Cortez explained everything thoroughly and took time to answer my questions. She also wrote everything out so I could research what we discussed so we could make a plan moving forward. Highly recommend Cape Fear Smiles.

This was the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. I went in expecting to get a dental implant, and they quoted me over $8,000 just for the implant. On top of that, I was told I had to go to another location—and pay even more—for the tooth extraction and a bone graft. That immediately raised concerns. The level of professionalism was very poor. During a deep cleaning, the person treating me did not introduce herself or show any credentials, and her work felt inexperienced. She kept complaining about the clinic, saying the equipment was old and not working properly, and repeatedly splashed water on my face during the procedure. It was uncomfortable and unacceptable. I ended up going to another clinic to have the cleaning done correctly and to continue my treatment. When I tried to report what happened, the front desk staff was rude and defensive instead of helpful. No one apologized, and I never received any follow-up from the doctor or management. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
